Electric Airplanes To Combat Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Norway
Electric cars might not be common in Australia but Norway is already leading the world in purchases. Taking things the next level, the Scandinavian nation has announced its intentions to start transitioning to electric aircraft. Hoping to slow climate change and promote innovation, Norway will offer enticing tax breaks. Dag Falk-Pedersen, head of Avinor said “Airbus told us they need a customer and they need a market – and we can offer them both”.
Electric aircraft are still be refined and the weight of batteries remains a challenge, but Norway is confident in the techonlogy. In addition to the tax incentives, other perks such as free parking and recharging points will be offered for the aircraft.
