You might know June 5 is World Environment Day, but what exactly is it all about?

Since 1974, the United Nations has promoted World Environment Day as a date to encourage action and awareness to protect the environment. Each year World Environment Day has a new host nation and a specific theme to address current environmental issues. India will host the official celebrations of 2018, with the theme being ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’.
